Stronger Together for Data Science – Community Workshop in Bochum Moves Initiative Forward
On March 19–20, 2025, the first cross-regional community meeting of the Data Science / Digital Science Initiative took place in Bochum. The initiative, originally launched by the DSC at the University of Bremen together with other partners, was further developed and strategically aligned during the workshop with strong community engagement.

DataNord as a Best Practice for Data Literacy at the E-Science-Tage 2025
The E-Science-Tage 2025 took place in Heidelberg from March 12 to 14, focusing on “Research Data Management: Challenges in a Changing World”. DSC Coordinator Dr. Lena Steinmann was among the contributors, presenting the data competence center “DataNord”.

Data as a Bridge: Published Poster as Part of the Digital Humanities Conference 2025
From March 3rd to March 7th, the German-speaking Digital Humanities community gathered in Bielefeld for this year’s DHd conference "Under Construction: Geisteswissenschaften und Data Humanities." Nele Fuchs, our Data Scientist focusing on the field of Digital Humanities presented her poster "Data as a Bridge: Interdisciplinary Collaboration between Digital Humanities and Data Science in the DataNord Project."
