CONDITIONS FOR FUNDING
The
DSC Team evaluates and decides upon the applications for the DSC Seed Grant in the order in which they are received. If required, the examination can also
take place on a short-term basis. Priority is generally given to projects that offer both the prospect of excellent research and a high degree of interdisciplinary cooperation.
Doctoral candidates accepted by the respective doctoral committee, postdocs, senior researchers, and professors from all faculties of the University of Bremen
can apply for the DSC Seed Grant. Applications can be submitted by individuals as well as research teams. Funding is available once a year and generally up to
2,500 EUR per applicant (i.e. up to 5,000 EUR can be requested for two applicants).
Funding is available for activities that can be completed within 12 months. Costs for basic equipment (e.g. working place and its equipment)
as well as catering are not eligible for funding.
An application can only be submitted once a previously approved project in the same funding line has been completed and the final report has been submitted.
A final report (300-500 words), preferably with picture material, must be submitted no later than 4 weeks after the end of the project.
