We offer both interdisciplinary and subject-specific programs designed to cater to various skill levels. Our trainings cover the entire data lifecycle, inclidung research data management, data science, data analysis, artificial intelligence, as well as ethical, legal, and social aspects of data science.

Data Train – Training in Research Data Management and Data Science
Data Train is a centralized training for doctoral candidates at member institutions of the U Bremen Research Alliance. The courses are allocated to tracks and build on one another. The "Starter Track" consists of interactive lectures giving an overview on topics in the fields of research data management and data science. In the two operator tracks "Data Steward" and "Data Scientist", students gain competences of a data steward and data scientist, respectively, and apply digital tools directly in hands-on workshops. Doctoral candidates can complete the entire track or take individual courses.

Research Data Management – Information and Support
Unit 12 – Research Services of the University of Bremen and the State and University Library Bremen provide information on research data management. They support and advise researchers in identifying suitable repositories, developing data management plans and all other relevant questions. The recommendations of the University of Bremen on handling research data can also be found on their website (only available in German).
