Let’s love our data! Or: Love Data Week 2023

From 12 to 17 February, it’s time again for the annual Love Data Week – With exciting events and activities around the world as well as at the DSC!

The Love Data Week is an international week of events around research data and aims to draw attention to sustainable data management and good scientific practice. Under the motto “Data: Agent of Change”, this week 2023 is celebrated worldwide from 13 to 17 February and offers numerous events on a wide range of topics related to research data. As Data Science Center of the University of Bremen, we are pleased to offer two workshops and a social event for researchers of the University of Bremen and other institutes of the U Bremen Research Alliance during this week.

• Git for Dummies | 15 Feb 2023 ** already fully booked **
  We will provide an easy entry for you to learn how to keep track of changes in your documents, code and projects with the version control software git. (in English language)
• Introduction to Research Data Management for Social Scientists | 16 Feb 2023
  We will discuss the basics of research data management (e.g. research data lifecycle, data management planning, FAIR principles) – and how and why it is relevant for funding, for your project members and for yourself. (in English language)
• In Love With Data – A Coffee and Cake Get-Together of the Data Steward Network Bremen | 16. Feb. 2023
  Everyone interested in data and data management is invited to this social event with coffee and cake! (in German and English language)
