SHORT PROFILE
Nele Fuchs completed her Bachelor’s degree in Philosophy and Material Culture: Textiles at Carl von Ossietzky University Oldenburg in 2019. She then pursued a Master’s degree in Transcultural Studies at the University of Bremen in 2023. From 2020 to 2023, she led the editorial team for the series ‘Studien zur Materiellen Kultur’, the institute’s in-house publishing venture at the Institute for Material Culture (Open Access). Between 2023 and 2024, she worked as a freelance editor for researchers at all career stages. Since 2015, Nele Fuchs has been involved in extracurricular educational work.

Nele Fuchs’ research focuses on authoritarianism, violence studies, socioeconomics, and psychoanalytic social psychology.

As a Data Scientist at the DSC (Data Science Center) within the BMBF project DataNord, Nele Fuchs connects and advises researchers in the humanities, providing training to enhance data literacy in the (digital) humanities.
