SHORT PROFILE
Björn Lüssem is Professor at the Institute of Microsensors, -actuators, and -systems (IMSAS) at the University of Bremen, Germany.

Before joining the University of Bremen in 2021, he was a project leader at the Materials Science Laboratory of Sony in Stuttgart (2006–2008), group leader at the Institut für Angewandte Photophysik (IAPP), TU Dresden (2008–2013), and Assistant/Associate Professor at the Kent State University in Ohio/USA (2014–2021).

Dr. Lüssem authored more than 130 publications in international journals (h-index 41). His research interests range from new design principles of organic devices, to charge transport in organic semiconductors and novel organic semiconductors with improved performance. His work has been awarded the VDE-Promotionspreis and the Günther-Leibfried-Preis.
