WHAT’S THIS SESSION ABOUT?

DataNord is an interdisciplinary data competence center for the Bremen region, fostering interdisciplinary collaboration and providing opportunities for researchers at all career stages to improve their data skills. Get to know the new DataNord team of data scientists and their future training and consulting services in this Data Snack.

This event introduces the DataNord support network at the DSC, which has been recently augmented by the addition of five data scientists – Sarah Büker, Dr. Susanne de Vogel, Nele Fuchs, Dr. Maryam Movahedifar and Annika Nolte. The team will offer targeted training and consultations tailored to the diverse data science needs within the research environment of Bremen. Our data scientists bring specialised knowledge in environmental and marine sciences, computational methods, statistics, artificial intelligence, humanities and social sciences, thereby providing a comprehensive resource for enhancing the capabilities of researchers along the research data life cycle.

During their talk, the DataNord data scientists will introduce the DataNord project and provide some input of how data science can significantly accelerate research. They outline the scope of training modules that are planned in the future and present their personalized consultation services. Your feedback on specific interests and needs for trainings you see for your research field is highly welcomed.
